Upper Midwest High School Elite League Hockey announced today that it has partnered with Legacy Hockey, one of Minnesota’s leading original high school hockey content platforms, to provide in-depth coverage of the 2022 season.

Fans will be able to follow their favorite Elite League players and teams in real time through live statistics posted on the league’s site along with in-game updates and photography on the league’s social media channels. Legacy Hockey will also provide a series of weekly articles highlighting the Elite League’s role in the continued development of many of the state’s finest players.

As in previous seasons Legacy Hockey will continue to offer photos for purchase by parents and players at LegacyHockeyPhotography.com.

Legacy Hockey founder Loren Nelson has covered the Elite League and Minnesota high school hockey for more than a decade. He’s worked in cooperation with and for multiple organizations, including the Star Tribune, Minnesota Hockey, the Minnesota Hockey Coaches Association and Breakdown Sports. Nelson co-authored the book Tourney Time that chronicles 75 years of great games and standout performances at the Minnesota state boys’ high school hockey tournament. He is the managing editor of the Legacy.Hockey website, Minnesota’s No. 1 resource for high school hockey’s past, present and future.

“The Elite League is excited to announce our partnership with Legacy Hockey,” Elite League Director Bo Snuggerud said. “The league is a proven path to critical exposure. Loren’s expertise in media distribution and his knowledge of hockey, combined with our successful hockey model, makes for a perfect fit.”

“The Elite League has played such a critical role in helping players advance their next level while allowing them to live at home and enjoy the high school experience,” Nelson said. “I’m thrilled to be able to work with the league to help showcase all the great talent that plays in it year after year.”

The Elite League’s training camp kick offs on Friday. The league’s 93-game regular season schedule begins Saturday, Sept. 10 with eight games at New Hope Ice Arena. All Elite League games at New Hope Ice Arena will be streamed live and available on-demand through MNHockey.TV.

About the Elite League

Hockey Development: The High School Elite League is a proven path to critical exposure. Professional scouts, along with representatives from colleges and junior leagues, attend every one of our games and offer feedback to players regarding their progress.

Personal Development: The league provides something less tangible than achievement, but, we believe, equally critical. The player gets to experience high school just like everybody his age. There is merit in these regular high school activities to balance out the dedication, determination and sometimes even stressful pressures of hockey at this elite level.
